Picking up where we left off

I know it might not look like it but I am making progress with this blog. last time I waited 10 months to post, and this time I waited 5 months :D Maybe someday I will get to one post a month.

This is whats been going on in our life, well the things I have actually remembered to take pictures of. ENJOY!

Last time I showed you our beautiful carport we were so proud of. YEAH.... It lasted like one week :( The wind destroyed it. On the happy side the carport missed our car when it ripped out of the ground so no harm done(except for the 180 dollars down the drain lol).

Moving on..                                           HALLOWEEN

They turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Scott and I both free handed our drawings for our pumpkins.

We wanted to do something to celebrate Halloween, but we only had like an hour to figure out what we were going to do. This is what we ended up with. In My defense I did not plan on it being so creepy.

Our little trailer needed some sprucing up so I thought I would make some curtains. I got to work cutting up a set of what I thought were old bed sheets. Scott came in to check on me and see what I was doing. He asked me where I had got the bed sheets and I told him I just thought they were some old ones that we were never going to use because they were twin size. Long story short I ended up making curtains out of 90 dollar bed sheets! Oops I thought I was being thrifty. Scott was to say the least a little upset. Lucky for me he loves me and knows I did not mean destroy his expensive bed sheets. We are to the point where we can look back and joke about the situation, it's something we will definitely remember.

The only picture I took from Thanksgiving was this gluten free pie I made.

CHRISTMAS TIME!
Gingerbread houses at Grandma Tranters
This is one of my favorite traditions.
                                                          Scott and I's house

I don't want to brag, but we found the best tree this year. I mean it was perfect! lol I don't think we will be able to find a better one next year.

Random decoration pictures

We had a really nice Christmas. The big box is my vacuum!

I started a quilt just for the fun of it. I'm good at starting things, but not really finishing lol

HAPPY ^
SAD     v
I got this great idea that I was going to try and scare Scott. I went to hide by the door and in the process ran my face into the bookshelf. He came through the door just as it happened and wanted to know what I was trying to do. The only thing I could do was laugh and cry at the same time. lol
O and I did this right before I started my new job! Black eyes are always a good 1st impression right? Luckily I don't have a huge scar, just a little faint one that I hope goes away.

Alec came to visit so we went for a hike. The weather was really nice for Jan.

AWWE....

I made Scott an awesome Birthday cake. It took me forever, but the hard work paid off and it was delicious. Inside the  red velvet cake was a New York cheese cake. It was by far the best cake I have ever made and that's saying something because it was GF. Granted all's I did was combine two different recipes not a lot of skill on my part.

Well I think that's all the pictures that I have so I guess we will say cheers tell next time!

UPDATE AFTER 10 MONTHS!

Alright I'm going to try and play catch up after all this time has passed. I thought I would be good at this whole blog thing, but it turns out I kind of stink at it. Well I guess not everyone can be as cool as my sister in law "Dolly" :)
I think the best place to start off is at Christmas time because that is when I stopped blogging. So most of my catch up with just be lots of pictures with some captions. Here you go!

Christmas was pretty great. I got a sewing machine that I love, but to be honest don't have much practice with. I did make a little scripture bag though just trying to figure things out.
These are random pictures that happened in Jan/Feb
I painted Scott's toes. he he he

We babysat kourtlyn or I should say she babysat Scott. She wanted him to be a baby so she could feed him. lol

The USU extension here in Moab called us up and wanted us to do a photo-shoot for their advertising.

Of course I had to add pictures of us shooting guns because Scott is always wanting to shoot guns :)

Valentines Day!

New Gluten Free Experiments

EASTER

I made a wreath so i had to post
More babysitting. Scott is good with kids ;)
These are the Tai kids that I have watched since the week they all came to the United States. All 3 of them were adopted. The oldest sister is not in this picture but she was there as well. I started watching her when I was 13 she is now in middle school. I usually only watch them now when they are out of town for more than a few days.
(yes that is a pretty bow in his hair!)

Jeep Safari

Scott is riding in the one on the right with my brother.

Went on a windy hike to delicate arch

I graduated cum laude with a bachelors in Social Work :)

Car Show

Random FHE

We moved in May to one of my really good friends trailer that they uses to live in, and now it's just in their yard. we like it better than our other house. Here are some pics of the place

I bought this couch for 50 dollars! Sweet deal right?

I bought this table for 45.00 I believe

(Oh, and the black curtains are supposed to be off...  for Halloween)

Just had to add that I'm so thankful that
Scott works at a furniture store. Someone gave us our bed frame and dryer for free!

This is my craft-room

Scott's Man-room
not a good picture but it has all of his guns and reloading stuff.

I bought this gem for 30 dollars and it was my project for a little longer than I would have liked, but I love how it turned out :)
Before

Sanding

paint

My 1st attempt and chevron stripes, but it did not really work

2nd attempt
Finished product. I painted some white fabric for the bench.
                                                              LAGOON!

This ride was my highlight!
More Babysitting!
This is Scarlet and we get to watch her every Tuesday and whenever the other babysitter cant. She is pretty much the highlight of our week.

good practice for Scott lol

I don't know if this video will work, but it's the cutest video of Scarlet trying to laugh.
I made some really good Gluten Free pumpkin rolls!

This is random, but when I don't like the look of my shoes anymore I paint them. These shoes were white when I 1st bought them, then blue and now they are white with stripes. It's like I got 3 pairs of shoes for the price of one!

We bought a carport slash "giant tent" that our neighbors make fun of. They asked us the other day "so when do we get an invite to the sleepover in your giant tent" lol O well it will keep the snow off our nice car in the winter

Well I left out a lot, but I think that you should be, for the most part, all caught up.
Hopefully my next post is sooner than 10 months away :)
